Zero Harm Champions Training

Empowering people to lead safety, health and wellbeing from within

Our Zero Harm Champions Training equips employees with the knowledge, confidence and practical tools to actively support safer, healthier workplaces. By developing internal champions, organisations can embed a proactive approach to physical safety, health, and wellbeing, driven by the people who understand the business best.

This programme helps move organisations from reactive compliance to preventative, people-led culture change.

Zero Harm Champions

What is Zero Harm?

Our approach is built around four core pillars:

  • Protect → Physical Safety
Reducing accidents, injuries and workplace risks

  • Prevent → Health & Lifestyle
Tackling the root causes of ill health and absence

  • Promote → Culture & Leadership
Creating a positive, engaged and supportive environment

  • Support → Intervention & Recovery
Providing the right support when it’s needed most

Why Zero Harm Champions?

Champions act as a bridge between leadership and employees—helping turn strategy into everyday action.

With the right training, they can:

  • Spot risks early and promote preventative behaviours

  • Encourage healthier lifestyle choices

  • Support colleagues and signpost to appropriate resources

  • Drive engagement in wellbeing initiatives

  • Strengthen a culture of shared responsibility

Who Can Be A
Zero Harm Champion?

Anyone within your organisation can become a Zero Harm Champion

There are no specific qualifications required, just a genuine interest in supporting others and improving workplace culture. Champions often come from a variety of roles, including managers, HR professionals, health and safety representatives, and engaged employees who are passionate about wellbeing.

The most effective champions are approachable, proactive and willing to lead by example, helping to promote safer behaviours, healthier lifestyles and a more supportive working environment across the organisation.

How to set up a team of Champions

Being a Zero Harm Champion is about much more than attending meetings or wearing a lanyard (don’t worry—they’ll still get one). Our Zero Harm Champions Training ensures participants are fully equipped with the knowledge, confidence and practical skills to actively promote safety, health and wellbeing across the organisation.

Share-Learn-Grow

Our Share–Learn–Grow sessions are follow-up development sessions delivered every 3–6 months after the Zero Harm Champions Training to maintain momentum and keep champions engaged.

These interactive sessions provide a space for champions to share experiences, successes and challenges, learn about new wellbeing insights, tools and organisational priorities, and continue to develop their confidence and impact in the role.

By reconnecting champions regularly, organisations can refresh knowledge, strengthen peer support and ensure wellbeing initiatives remain active, relevant and embedded within the workplace culture.
